Description

Sugar flotation with two centrifugation sequences; microscopic examination for ova and parasites.  This is a general fecal test used in kittens and cats to identify parasites such as roundworms, coccidia, hookworms, and whipworms.

The sample should be placed in a ziplock bag or other container with the patient’s first and last name on it.  It must be recent (soft), but it is OK if it has kitty litter on it.  If you drop it off when we are not in the clinic, make sure it is on a day we are open or the night before so that we receive it in a timely fashion.
